Lee Alexander McQueen, 1969 – 2010

I'm sure every blogger around the world will be posting this video so it won't be new to everyone.
But since I am such a true fan, I could not resist the temptation...

Erwin Blumenfeld

During my usual gander on the web, I came across Blumenfeld, a German born American photographer who became famous in the 1940s and the 1950s for his fashion photography, working for Vogue and Harper's Bazaar.
Here are some images I have found of his work - my favourite being the lady hanging off what looks like a building tower...must have been a scary photoshot.

BALMAIN SPRING /SUMMER 2011

I know it's nearly Christmas and the temperature is below minus freezing, and there's snowy blizzard everywhere around us, but lets slowly edge a bit of Spring, Summer and a little Rock n Roll into our life....slowly I said...Balmain, How do I love thee x

'To Lee, With Love, Nick'

I have never met and never will meet him but he truly is inspirational in every way.
His designs can be very dark and risque but still managed to capture the art, the essence, the delicate and fragile beauty within us all.
He influenced many people around him; I look up to him and aspire to become as great as him.. He was the reason and still is my reason.

The fashion film by Nick Knight will be showcased on SHOWstudio.com this evening.
A tribute to McQueen's creations, his career and most importantly himself.

Nick Knight is one of the most talented and influential Photographer around. He is also recognised as being Director and founder of SHOWstudio.com.
With an ever ending CV list, we are sure to be marvelled at the creativity and aesthetic that is it McQueen. Without certainty the film will be amazing just as McQueen was.
